Most companies ensure workplace safety and environmental quality. But Midwest Generation is going a step further to establish ecological practices for its power generating stations that aim to not only maintain and protect environmental quality but also enhance it.

WRD is consulting on a comprehensive greening initiative for two plants in Chicago. Our concept uses a host of ecological best management practices: from beautifying the landscape, creating places for community interaction and celebrating cultural heritage, to fostering biodiversity, improving stormwater management and reducing the urban heat island effect.

We are now also serving as project managers, ensuring that the design intent is met.
