Ecological Consulting Firm offers Design and Installation of Sustainable Landscapes

Samantha Mattone

Samantha Mattone is a consultant to the Chicago Department of Environment, coordinating its Chicago Conservation Corps (C3) program. She helps volunteers improve the quality of life in Chicago neighborhoods by providing them with training in protecting water resources, cleaning the air, restoring land and saving energy.

Her work on the C3 Environmental Leadership Training Series includes creating educational curriculum, presentations and guides; planning and facilitating meetings; conducting program outreach and project support; and tracking the program’s impact.

Samantha holds a B.S. in Environmental Policy and Behavior from the University of Michigan and is pursuing an M.S. in elementary education from Northwestern University. She is certified in environmental education by Project Learning Tree, a program targeting youth from preschool through grade 12. She is also certified by Project Wild, an interdisciplinary conservation and environmental education curriculum.
