Meredith has a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from The University of Wisconsin, Madison, with an emphasis in art and computer graphics. She is involved in all stages of design at WRD, from concept to construction documents to installation.
Her WRD projects include the Midwest Generation Greening Initiative, establishing ecological landscape practices for the company’s power generating stations, and the New AGE Project, a collaboration with the University of Illinois to design environmentally friendly and attractive outdoor environments for older adults that encourage physical activity.
As a LEED exam review instructor for the US Green Building Council, Meredith helps LEED AP candidates prepare for the exam through special half-day classes sponsored by the council and WRD. She has also promoted sustainability by participating in the North Lawndale Greystone Charette, a full-day session for homeowners in Chicago’s North Lawndale community that included developing green strategies for reducing energy costs and managing stormwater, and encouraging urban gardening.
For several years, Meredith has been active in GreenNet, a coalition of Chicago greening organizations. She is currently on the organization’s executive committee.
