Britt Willey

Britt is a consultant to the Chicago Department of Environment for the Chicago Conservation Corps (C3), promoting environmental volunteerism through Chicago’s strong network of conservation initiatives. She assists in coordinating the C3 Event Calendar, Speakers Bureau, Rain Barrel/Compost Bin volunteer projects, social media and online communications, and more.
    

She holds a Master of Social Work with a focus on community and social systems from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.  Her graduate work focused on building grassroots campaigns and neighborhood leadership around transportation expansion and air quality issues in immigrant communities.

Before joining WRD, Britt spent 10 months working with rural communities in Mexico, Costa Rica and Nicaragua, seeking to implement sustainable community development techniques to improve public health and conserve natural resources.
